The Tulare Downtown Foundation and the Tulare Downtown Association team with Altura Centers for Health to distribute backpacks to elementary thru high school aged children as we prepare to go back to school. This year we celebrate our Tulare County Hispanic Heritage at Zumwalt Park on Saturday, October 9. Join us as a sponsor for one of the most well-attended events in Tulare, formally the annual Cinco De Mayo Celebration. This event attracts crowds as performers take the stage with music, contests and more in a fun, carnival-type atmosphere. A great way to celebrate our multi-cultural heritage, come spend the day at the park. Food, vendors and beer garden as well as live music.

The Tulare Downtown Foundation and Radiant Church return to the streets with the fourth installment of the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee. Throughout Downtown Tulare, experience the fun of Halloween with trunk-or-treating events, carnival games, food and horse-drawn wagon rides. Play games for candy and prizes or ride the horse wagon to hear ghostly stories of Tulare! A fun night of family enteratainment with a complimentary treat bag courtesy of Radiant Church.

With many stops to sample fabulous wine and food, its a night to experience and remember. The night usually follows a theme that participating businesses reflect with their wine selections and decorating. Tickets are typically available a couple of months before the event. Make sure you get your tickets early!

The premier Christmas event of Tulare, the Tulare Christmas parade features nearly 100 entries from around the area highlighted by Santa Claus! Plan to come early to get a good seat as attendence regularly tops 10,000 people! Food vendors, hot chocolate and cookies pre-parade for the kids from the TDA and Salvation Army, the official tree lighting at K Street and Tulare Avenue make for a night to be remembered.

Tour begins in mid-Tulare, traveling to the west and picking up the best of houses nominated for the city contest and letting you add to the list. Then a mid-tour break at Starbucks Downtown before taking in what the east side of Tulare has to offer. Join us for a bright night of holiday light!
